Why am I getting a 'connection error' when trying to use Cortex Designer?

  • Cortex Designer is unable to connect to its server.
  • Check that your device is online by seeing if the web browser works.
  • If your organisation uses a VPN to allow the app to be used outside the internal network, this error may occur because the VPN isn't setup or working.  
  • Check with the organisation Service Desk that you are in the enrolled in InTune group.
  • Try restarting the device or VPN app.
