To manage teams in Cortex, login to your Cortex Web admin instance via a web browser


If your account has permission to manage Teams, on the left navigation, you'll see "Teams" under the "Administration" section. Click this link.


Adding a Team


To create a new team, click the "New" button on the right hand side.

  • You will need to have obtained the Employee Number of the relevant clinician / team
  • Enter name of the relevant clinician / team (note that this may not necessarily be an individual, for example 'GM7' is an admitting team'
  • Select the relevant Department
  • Choose "Attending Doctor ID Number'" and put the Employee Number in box "is equal to"
  • In lower section choose "Attending Doctor Name Type Code" and enter "PICS" in "is equal to" box
  • Leave the box at the bottom all empty


The screen should look as per below:



NOTES:

  • Adding a new admitting team to Cortex does not retrospectively allocate patients to that team (i.e. patients already admitted in SIPICS will not automatically update under that team). 
  • If this is needed, search for the patient in the Cortex web admin, "Edit" the patient, and select the team to allocate them to.
